FAQs
The Grad Network is part of the Greater Philly Hillel Network and attracts Jewish grad students and young professionals from across the city. The Grad Network exclusively serves the grad student and young professional population in Philly, a community that includes more than 1,500 people!
We are the ONLY organization in Philly, and one of the only organization’s nationally, that is dedicated to supporting Jewish graduate students. Our grad students are from Temple, UPenn, Thomas Jefferson, Drexel, Villanova, PCOM, and others from around the greater Philadelphia area. We run events all over the city throughout the academic year as well as over the summer for grad students and young professionals to lead and participate in.
Typically 75-85% of the participants at Grad Network events are current graduate students who are between the ages of 22 to 35 years old. The remaining participants are recent college grads, recent grad school grads, and other young professionals. Participants come from a variety of professional school programs (law, med, business, dentistry, social work, etc), as well as Ph.D. and Masters programs in both the humanities and sciences. Our participants come from across the country as well as all over the world.
Yes! The Grad Network serves young professionals in addition to grad students.
