This week's topic
Purim: They wanted to kill us; we won; let's eat!
with Jessica Shimberg
Join us for Topics on Tap this week as we take a look inside the Book of Esther, a story of wining and dining, love and hate, war and peace, hiding and revealing, secrets and surprises, miracles and mistakes. Come engage in a lively look at the twists and turns of this story of Jewish life in the big city. No costumes required.
Jessica Shimberg is a student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and serves as Rabbinic Intern at the Edward H Rosen Hillel Center for Jewish Life at Temple University. She also worked at the Hillel at the University of Delaware and Chicago's Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. Jessica likes to teach Torah to just about every age group - campers and college students, retirees and rugrats, tweens and twenty-somethings.
