Tonight's topic is Prophets and Priests in Ancient Israel, with Dr. Mark Leuchter
Mark is Director of Jewish Studies at Temple University. He received his PhD from the Centre for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto and has served as coordinator of Biblical studies at University of Sydney in Australia. His field of research is ancient Israelite religion and the intellectual history of early Judaism, and has published broadly on the history of the Israelite priesthood, the political culture of Persian-era Judaism and the formation of Biblical law.
