A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Isabel de Koninck is a 2004 graduate of Brandeis University, where she majored in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, and received her rabbinic ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2010. Isabel is thrilled to be entering her second year as Advisor to Jewish Students at Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges and is also proud to serve as the Project Director for Tzedek Philly: The Service Learning Initiative of Hillel of Greater Philadelphia. When not immersed in her studies or working for the Jewish community, she can be found playing volleyball and ultimate frisbee (not at the same time), hiking in the Wissahickon reserve, and checking out the lively arts and culture scene in Philadelphia. Isabel is also a serious foodie; she is a frequent traveler on the Philadelphia restaurant scene, cooks awesome gourmet vegetarian feasts, and of course watches any and all food related television.
