Join us at a home near South Street for a chilled out and laid back barbeque dinner, followed by a special talk on LGBT health issues by Dane Menkin, a Nurse Practitioner at the Mazzoni Center!
We'll provide the meat and veggie burgers and beer and would appreciate you bringing a side dish of some sort.

Dane is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson's School of Nursing. He has particular interest in working with the transgender/ gender variant communities. Dane has volunteered with Prevention Point Philadelphia and The TransHealth Information Project in the past as well as presenting at The TransHealth Conference and FORGE Forward. He frequently speaks to various schools of nursing and medicine as well as other non profits around the topic of transgender health care and sensitivity. He is a member of ANAC (Association of Nurses in AIDS Care) and on the Education committee of GLMA (The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association) which works to organize a great deal of the programming offered at the annual conference. Dane is currently adjunct faculty of the school of nursing at Thomas Jefferson University.
