Idea Coalition Art Exhibit - Transcending History

Transcending History: Moving Beyond the Legacy of Slavery and the Holocaust (the “Arts Exhibition”) will explore the history and common experiences shared by the Black and Jewish communities.

The Exhibition will be a juried art show and month-long exhibit to be held at Vivant Art Collection in Philadelphia, PA, throughout the month of February 2010. The Exhibition will feature the artwork of a select group of Black and Jewish artists from around the country. Works shown will reflect upon Slavery and the Holocaust, and both the positive and negative effects that these horrific episodes have had on the collective psyches of the two communities.
Thursday, Feb. 4 is the opening night event from 6-9 pm.
