Phil was born and raised in Elkins Park, PA and now lives 2.1 miles away from his childhood home. He graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Maryland and receied his EdM. from Temple University in secondary English education. Phil has taught English in the Philadelphia School District and was the Education Director for a local synagogue. He is married to Heather, originally from Kalamazoo, MI, (town slogan: Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo) and together they have three amazing children; Jenna 9, Ari 7 and Evan 8 months.
